Aesop Fables

This page holds my illustration work for the Aesop fable the dog and wolf created on my Creative Arts Course as part of my illustration module. The Aesop fables were originally Greek in origin believed to be written by Aesop a Greek slave and storyteller, so I thought it appropriate to try and emulate the Greek style of art that is commonly seen on Greek poetry. The larger brown dog was inspired by what was to be believed to be an ancient Greek dog known as a Molossus. The wolf was inspired by wolves that might be seen in the wilds of Belgium.

The paintings were done on A3 mixed media paper in watercolour and Indian ink. If you like any of the works and want to purchase a print please contact me via email, facebook or mobile and we can discuss a price, and what size you want it printing with what finish. Then I can get it printed and delivered to you.
